Do not post as a registered user, they'll delete all your ratings

I started posting on this site in 2011 as a registered user and sometime mid-2012 all of my positive and negative ratings were removed via RateMDs with the message "1 negative duplicate or disallowed ratings automatically removed". I never posted more than 1 rating per doctor I can assure you of that. Now I just post as unregistered/anonymous hoping they can't link my ratings and delete them again.

Your account is only a week

Your account is only a week old. If you could send me your old account's name I can look into this.

My old account was banned

My old account was banned along with the removed ratings.

I believe you are correct

I believe you are correct thatswild. If your user name is banned for whatever reason all ratings you posted under that user name are deleted.

A good argument for not rating a doctor while logged in as a user.

I noticed some doctors have negative reviews removed or hidden...why is that?? If someone says something bad about them they should not be able to censure it unless it is potentially defamatory...but then again, isn't the point of this website to allow patients to safely rate the doctors accurately?? A patient should be able to give their version of events as a public service if a doctor behaved badly! If doctors can remove negative comments then this whole website is a sham. I am pretty sure that some of them not only censure or remove the comments they don't like but that they actually write their own positive reviews. I know this goes on among certain doctors so there is no way the website has adequately dealt with this problem ('astroturfing'). I know for a fact that certain doctors collaborate with each other to swap phony positive reviews of themselves to avoid detection.

Some doctors also collaborate to do the opposite, writing false negative reviews of their competition.

Everybody sounds so negative!

I post reviews as a registered user, mostly positive, but some negative. I have never had a single review removed.
