Rating Feedback for Dr. Helliwell (2550941)

'Dr Helliwell is great. The only issue was with a staff member and getting approved for surgery. She waited until the week before I was scheduled for the procedure to get the insurance approval. As a working Mom, I would have liked to have had more notice. I did not know for sure that my insurance would cover the procedure. And I needed to tell my work that I needed the time off and I needed to find someone to watch my child. I also asked her if there were any restrictions after the procedure and she said no. I was told the day of surgery that I should not lift more than ten lbs. My baby weighs twenty three lbs.'

First, thank for your feedback. We constantly strive to improve our processes and endeavor to make each patient's experience a good one. Our office staff deals with many patients on a daily basis. While this is no excuse, we require our staff to be thorough with each patient in regard to billing and scheduling. We apologize the office staff did not streamline your process and that they were less than punctual in their communication with you. We plan to use your comments for training purposes to ensure communication is thorough and prompt going forward.
