Rating Feedback for Dr. Jackson (2532094)
The rating:
'Rated this way because I was a new patient coming in for an evaluation and wanted to charge me an extra $250 for a "second opinion". There was no second opinion involved, I just needed an eye exam. Cancelled the appointment. Rip off.'

All comprehensive evaluations whether an "eye exam" or "second opinion" (a second opinion is an eye exam as well) are quoted a $250 fee unless a medical diagnosis is discovered at the exam which then may be a billable covered service to the insurance carrier. All services are considered noncovered and nonbillable until the eye exam is performed so the patient is always quoted upfront so there are no surprises. If you believe that the health care insurance system in our country is a "rip off" then please contact your congressman or state senator who contributed to passing of such health laws. Our main priority is the care of our patients and their eyesight and secondly conveying available coverage options ahead of time so there are no hidden financial costs.
