'I had Mohs surgery by this doctor. I had a pin sized squamous (sp?) beside my nose it was removed but came back plus I have a 4" scar beside my nose to live with for the rest of my life. I am disfigured because of this quack. Stay away from this ****!'
Much like the tip of an iceberg skin cancer visible at the skins surface does not indicate the actual size of the problem not visible. What may start as a "pin sized" appearing problem in the beginning may end up to be much larger in the end after all diseased tissue has been removed. Closing a circular defect, or open wound, properly requires removal of the bunched up skin at the ends which thus creates a longer incision line than the actual defect circumference.
It sounds like this Dr. knows what he is doing.
