Rating Feedback for Dr. Lazar (474832)

The rating:
'I saw him twice with my son after his birth and would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. He was rude, condescening and at both appointments (I had my husband come to the second one because he wanted to see what this guy was like after I told him about the first visit)asked if our son had had an erection yet. It was the oddest thing. He was less than 2 months old and I worked for a pediatrician for 6 years and she had never asked anyone that question. Even my husband was like what the he ll? I now take him to the pediatrician I used to work for as she is the best pediatrician in the city. I'm sorry I didn't go there right away, but since I worked for her I didn't want to have him see her there. So glad that I changed my mind on that one. Dr. Lazar could learn alot from Dr. Deonarine.'

Newborns are supposed to get erections, it's a sign that everything is okay and just because your other DR never asked about it doesn't mean it's not appropriate. I was surprised at the question too BUT so glad he asked because my two week old had already had erections and I had no idea it was normal and healthy. We have known Lazar a LONG time (13+ years)and with four busy kids, we see him quite regularly and have NEVER had a negative experience. He is a busy guy and cuts to the chase, no time for drama and parent coddling. It's good that you have found a DR you are happy with.

I worked for a pediatrician

I worked for a pediatrician for several years, and he never asked patients that question.

I also have a son and our pediatrician never asked us if he had an erection.
