Rating Feedback for Dr. Atkins (629744)

'I have found the remarks about Dr Atkins very offensive. I am not his patient but my children are. They are too old for their pediatrician. My son suffers from depression and severe anxienty. Dr Atkins has been wonderful with him. He has even allowed me to participate in some of my son's appointments to make sure that I am reassured of my son's condition. I feel that if my children like him then he is okay in my books. This "one issue per visit" is now becoming the standard for all doctors. We can thank our FREE health system for that. I do emphasize FREE health care. My own family doctor has started this same policy which is unnerving since I have to wait a minimum of 2 1/2 hours past my appointed time. Even when I go for allergy shots I have to wait at least an hour and then have to sit for an additional 30 mins after the shot and I do not even see my doctor at these visits. Anyone with issues should watch Michael Moore's movie Sicko.'

I'm shocked that you believe we have "FREE" healthcare! We are the second highest taxed country in the world next to France. I'm very glad he helped your son ... that is the most important thing, but believe me, you did and are paying for it
